Amanda’s has been teaching within the GTA for over 20 years. Her love of dance is apparent in her classes, as she’s always striving to better her students while encouraging them to achieve their personal best.
Amanda has been trained in various disciplines including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Modern, and Lyrical. She participated in the professional program at the School of the Toronto Dance Theatre as well as at the University of Waterloo. She is a full member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association in the both the ballet and stage divisions and currently sits on the Ballet committee. As a competitive teacher, she has had the opportunity of showcasing her work throughout many competitions, winning numerous awards.
Amanda has also had the opportunity of having her choreography performed at various venues throughout the G.T.A. including commercial events and charity shows. Some of her choreography has been featured at award-winning competitions, Mississauga’s Carassauga: Festival of Cultures (USA Pavilion), and the Mississauga Arts Awards.
Amanda is very active and connected to the dance community within the GTA. She continues to attend dance workshops throughout the dance season such as: PULSE, Jump, Nuvo and the Dance Project where she has had the privilege to participate in classes taught by incredible teachers like Mia Michaels, Tyce Dorio, Brian Friedman, Wade Robson, Gil Duldulao, Stacey Tookey, Travis Wall and Tessandra Chavez. This is Amanda’s second year teaching at Danceworks.
